How It All Started
Rising out of the movement for racial justice and equity in 2020, the East Hartford Black Caucus brought together local Black elected leaders who vowed to use their positions of influence to advance the lives of people of color in the community.
Our Mission: A united voice working to build Black political and economic equity through advocacy and community collaboration,
Our Purpose: Improving the quality of life for the Black community and enhancing the lives of the Black residents of East Hartford.
"Every Household Benefits from this Caucus"
What We Stand For.
Operating as a PAC, the caucus aims to ensure that people of color in East Hartford have a strong voice in local government and have a platform where they are empowered.
We will work as a caucus and with our allies to dismantle long standing barriers to educational, economic, criminal justice, and health equity, as well as political representation.
